The opener and title track Keeper Of The Maar starts with orchestral staged polyphonic guitars, progressive bonds and fantasy lyrics with almost 7 minutes of playing time. The versatility of the four musicians and their preference for hard rock with corresponding fat and driving guitars, bass and drums and the always present voice of lead singer Mel is reflected in songs like The Light, Black Dog and The Witch Is Burning! Classic Rock fans might find their musical favorites in ballads such as Frozen Haze, Memory Of Shakira The Dog and the Socially Critical Ocean Of Sorrow! In Do not Talk To Me, the bass is next to the subtle lead lyrics, the melody indicating instrument. This song breaks through the otherwise very opulent instrumentation.
