“Fortune and Fame” is the debut album from Norwegian rockers MAIN STREET REVIVAL. The band has built a reputation for their raw and tight live performances and has now played at several festivals in Norway, including Blues in Hell (2020) and Notodden Bluesfestival (2022).
The band’s love for ’70s / ’80s rock is not limited to hard rock, but also with strong dose of blues, and that warm classic rock melodies. Their songs are characterized by badass guitar riffs, powerful vocals, groovy drums and growling bass guitar, but throughout the album you can hear a couple of ballads as well. Led Zeppelin and Bad Company meets Rival Sons and Greta VanFleet.
Main Street Revival has been around since 2018 and consists of guitarist/vocalist Mats Erik Haugskott, bassist Julie Sæther Laupstad and drummer Christian Almli, all experienced cats. The mix & production of “Fortune and Fame” is crystal clear, detailed, as usual from bands from Scandinavia.
A solid and very good new band worth to discover.
