Anton Newcombe's A Records seem to have been particularly busy of late, which is fine by me because I love all this hazy good-times psych stuff. This album by Stockholm's Les Big Byrd is no exception. This lot have a smooth and woozy take on this psychedelic krautrock style that's all the rage nowadays, and this debut album plants nine serious head-nodders in your noggin. Think somewhere between the warm, melodic and upbeat krautrock of the Warm Digits and the fuzzy, concise psych-rock of the Cult of Dom Keller and you're somewhere close I suppose.
