FrontAs requested, we have here the debut album from American singer / songwriter LANCE POWERS, titled “Straight From The Heart“, with songs recorded in the early Nineties – however seems some were taped in the late ’80s. The album was finally released on CD in 1999, a private pressing very hard to find.

Lance comes from the American CCM scene, being lead vocalist & keyboardist for melodic rock / power pop band NUTRON, releasing an LP in 1982. As solo artist he put out some singles between 1983 and 1986, and collaborated with other bands.
Meanwhile, Lance got connected with many musicians from the CCM field who agreed to record his songs, such as master guitarists Dann Huff & Michael Landau, bass player John Pierce (Richard Marx, Kansas), drummer Greg Morrow (38 Special, John Waite), and more.
So you can’t go wrong with “Straight From The Heart” if you love second half of the ’80s U.S. AOR with that pumping bass lines, sharp melodic guitars, heroic keyboards, and catchy choruses.
