[EXCLUSIVE-Recommended]

Kory Clarke is indeed a very busy man, just think of WARRIOR SOUL, his trip to TROUBLE, of which there are unfortunately no sound document, or his solo albums. Exactly such he now presents to with "Payback's A Bitch". And after several decades in the business, the man knows exactly what he's doing. And he makes with exuberant creativity and disrespect for musical boundaries.

The album starts with two hard rock numbers, the even older AC / DC would have been good to face, "Devil's Highway" skin in this music is hard to describe WARRIOR SOUL-notch. So far, so good. But then shows KORY CLARKE, that he can intone other genres perfectly with his unmistakable voice also rough. "What Good Is Goodbye" is not only a good pun, but a very personal text to be presented somewhere between country and ballad. Then turn back on and leaves you with the following songs Rhythm and Soul feed, mixed with a good amount of hard funk and organ. Next surprise is "Jaegermeister Maschines" with technoid beat and entertaining text that ignites surprisingly immediately. So you can go through the album and finds an open music listener hardly filler, only the final ballad would fared better with less fat. Why is the man not really a top seller?
