Metallic Blue Records is bringing to life the previously unreleased material of American melodic hard rockers JOHNNY, featuring excellent guitarist Danny De La Rosa before he joined BABYLON A.D.

JOHNNY was formed by ex members of ”Bennie And The Jets” (featured at plotn08.org) vocalist Ben LaBarge and bass player Keith Bellino, and alongside De La Rosa included drummer Rich Carlson, who later joined Paul Shortino in his band “Badd Boyz”.
JOHNNY opened for Y&T, Black N’ Blue, and Humble Pie, and headlined at venues all over the San Francisco area. The band made some great traction and the fan base was ever-growing. With the band in such demand, they knew it was time to get into the studio, so they could create a demo to shop record labels.
The band released a six-track cassette which sold out almost immediately. This recording grabbed the attention of Atlantic and Capitol Records. However, it was Gene Simmons who started looking at the band to sign to his label “Simmons Records.”

With the new interest, JOHNNY started writing new songs and went back into the studio to record a few more tracks. During this time in the studio, some issues developed within the band. It was also at this same time, that Danny was contacted by BABYLON A.D. and joined the band to record its first, successful album.
JOHNNY disbanded, but now all their material is being released under the title ”No Destination”, including previously unreleased material, remastered, all with very good sound quality.
After listen JOHNNY you can totally see why Babylon A.D. was wanting Danny De La Rosa; there’s great guitar work here, strong melodic hard rock songs with catchy hooks.
