Guitar Master JOHN 5 will release his new solo album ”Ghost” next weekend. The musician has been busy over the years. John 5 worked with a grip of artists and bands during his career, and since 2022, he’s the axe man for Motley Crue replacing Mick Mars. But he has asolo career too, and a fine one.

”Ghost” has features from a few different musicians, like stellar bassist Matt Bissonette, Tommy Lee, Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros), and legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff. But the star here is John 5’s crazy, awesome guitar playing.
”Ghost” is notable for being recorded entirely live in the studio as one continuous take to achieve an old-school feel, with its creation being a personal tribute to the “ghosts” in his life and his new signature Fender guitar.
John 5 was deliberate in his old-school approach to ”Ghost”, aiming for a classic, unedited feel with no mistakes edited out, similar to how music was made in the 1930s and 40s.
