IMKT (pronounced: I am Katie) – under this name, with a distinctive, heartfelt voice and a deep passion for melodic rock music, Katie Bormann will captivate listeners in 2025 with her fourth album – her first English-language work.
The album, titled ”Sooner Or Later”, marks a turning point in her career and is a tribute to the sounds of the ’80s that have shaped her since childhood. Perhaps Katie’s last name ring a bell… yes, she’s the wife of German melodic rock legend Michael Bormann.
”Sooner Or Later” was recorded at RMB Studios in Reutlingen and produced by Michael Bormann, who also, of course, contributed with songwriting, arrangements, instrumentation, backing vocals.
Katie was supported as well by international songwriters and musicians such as Niclas Olsson, Pete Alpenborg, Mika Brushane, Eric Ragno, Michael K Nilsson, and Andreas Rippelmeier.
