The British Hard Rock band HEAVY WATER will release a new album entitled 'Dreams Of Yesterday' on September 29, 2023 via Silver Lining Music.Heavy Water, the lockdown project of Saxon frontman Biff Byford and his son Seb Byford, is entering the second round with the follow-up album to Red Brick City (2021).
Songs with heavy groove, great riffs - a swinging collection of timeless rock 'n' roll beautifully titled Dreams of Yesterday. The album Dreams of Yesterday has a proud, sweaty rush, opening with the psychedelic swinging title track: 'Dreams of Yesterday'. Musically, it's not necessarily to be associated with the north of England - rather one thinks of a patchouli-scented summer night in Los Angeles. “We went back a little bit to the time of the musical revolution and got inspired by that… 1965 US West Coast, a melting pot of music,” Seb and Biff outed. On Dreams of Yesterday you can tell that this second album is sharper cut, there is a closer cohesion and the musical bond between Seb and Biff has become more creative. Drawing on his experience and craft, Biff has brought in some fresh twists, borrowing from Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. Seb plays guitar, also produced the album and shows immense energy.
