October 2022 Founded in 1993 (since 2008 with Daniela Karrer as female fronted), Headshot from Braunschweig have been a bank of solid, aggressive, San Francisco/Bay Area-inspired thrash metal from German lands for years. Even though their last studio album was released some years ago, the quintet has never disappeared from the scene, but has tirelessly graced german and international stages.
Anno 2022, the band is finally back with "Eyes of the Guardians" and proves that they are far from being old hat and have not forgotten anything in terms of brutality and hardness.
On the contrary, these 10 songs are a lesson in neck-breaking thrash, and the band manages to strike new notes without breaking with their style, making the album the undoubted highlight of their work so far. Frontwoman Daniela Karrer in particular surprises with her brutal shouts and occasional grunts, as well as with unusual melodic passages. And many a sharp scream from her mouth might make Rob Halford think wistfully of the old days.
The likeable band from Lower Saxony recorded and produced the album between July 2019 and February 2022 at PureSonic Studio, Langelsheim under the wing of Jost Schlüter (Final Cry, Deny The Urge, Iron Fate, among others). Be aware - this is a monster!
