Dear friends, Hartmann fans and music lovers,it’s been more than 13 years since we started the production of our first Hartmann record „Out in the cold“ which in 2005 was elected a few times as album of the month and has been a great start for our history with HARTMANN … and we’ve come a long way since then with many great moments in the studio and on stage. So far so good. Most of you may know that producing and financing these albums nowadays is getting more and more difficult due to decreasing sales, streaming services that don’t really share a fair amount of their income and many other reasons. For smaller bands – as we are, too – it’s hard to recoup the costs for an album production and needed promotion, even not with touring and playing live concerts.
Many bands and artists have to and do release albums that don’t have the same quality and standard anymore as still a few years ago since there is nearly no budget to record real drums and guitar amplifiers, good worthy artwork or financing a producer/engineer to have proper good mix and sound in the end that makes fun to listen to. Or trying to go one more step ahead in their career. As listeners and consumers some of you may not really care – of course, not everybody has to care about this and that – but we as musicians do!
For this reason we made up our mind for the upcoming Hartmann record – which is in progress right now – and decided to start a crowdfunding campaign on PledgeMusic which will help a lot to finance the production of this album. It will also contain a great vocal duet – stay curious for more news – and, if we hopefully reach our goals, we’ll have something in our hands that is really special and maybe even better than anything else we did so far…and in your hands in the end, too 🙂
We hope that we’ve explained it well and right to you so you understand our aim with this campaign. We hope to have chosen really interesting and unique things for all „donators“ and pledgers as special events, private concerts, signed personal stuff, a great FGN signature guitar that has been used during the production, old tour banners and backdrops that have seen lots of countries and many many other things. We hope that all our offers and items are well described and also contain the fitting one for YOU!
