Seems Oliver Hartmann and company have been in a small slump with their latest releases but with new "15 Pearls And Gems" they seem to have found themselves back on track. Speaking of tracks, the record opens with brilliant "Can´t Stop This Train". This is followed by another great song in the form of "Walking On A Thin Line" which is a really lovely melodic rock smoker. This is where Oliver Hartmann really shows that he has power in his voice. Then it calms down a bit when you are invited to the finely tuned "How Does It Feel" where Oliver again shows off a cruel register. Then choose to move some songs until I arrive at the cover "When The Rain Begins To Fall" which is a cruel duet between Oliver and singer Ina Morgan. The end result of this collaboration is excellent and is definitely one of the best tracks in the album. After that, it was time for the song "Street Café", which was initially recorded by the band Icehouse. It also belongs to the album's highlights. Also want to take the opportunity to highlight "I Go To Extremes" (Billy Joel cover) a little extra, which also ends the entire album with a completely ok version of Free´s classic "Fire And Water".
With the album "15 Pearls And Gems" Hartmann has found his way back to the more melodic hard rock sound and I find it very gratifying. The album will be released on April 17 via the company Pride & Joy Music and is a given purchase.
