After their 2022 tour conclusion, Swedes H.E.A.T revisited their first two studio albums, “Heat” and “Freedom Rock”, raising the excitement and nostalgia for H.E.A.T.’s roots. Fully remixed by the band in 2023, both albums were released for the very first time on vinyl, on CD, and now digitally.
“Freedom Rock (2023 New Mix)” it’s way more dynamic, the band brought out the light and shade of the songs, giving the quieter parts the clarity and space, so when the layers kick in, pre/chorus / choruses… it really is way more of a impact.
Some different intro’s, sharper guitars, clearer vocals and the tweaked drum sound makes a massive difference for a new listening experience.
“Freedom Rock (2023 New Mix)” is powerful, punchy, energetic and whilst polished has a live-like feel.
This is the way forward with re-issues. We have the originals. We have the remaster(s). This release shows you can remix a classic album and not destroy it, but offer up a side by side worthy companion.
