With almost two decades of existence, ’80s melodic hard rock revivalists GUNNER are releasing their new album “Sinners“, a cool, enjoyable collection of AOR, glammy hard rock, hair metal songs. The band recently supported H.E.A.T and Reckless Love, so there’s no doubt about their musicianship and professionalism.
GUNNER drops the hooks, the catchy choruses, the clean guitar riffs and the keys/synths from the glorious era into a musical recipe where the feel-good vibe is the rule. These guys breathe the era, wearing spandex, hairspray et all – check the album cover.
Or watch the video below for ‘Arcade Nights’, yeah pure ’80s. GUNNER aren’t a parody band, they take their art seriously and the result is very professional and entertaining. And “Sinners” not only is available on CD, also on a pink-fluffy cassette.
Gunner definitely have the ’80s look and presentation going for them. From their retro album cover to their tight pants and long teased hair. As far as the music goes, they love the anthemic, classic melodic hard rock / AOR from the ’80s very well done, recorded and executed.
