Guelder Rose, formed on 12th september 2003 are Alex 'Bnj' Marchetti (lead guitar), Silvio 'Fudo' Gratani (drums), Matteo Brambilla(bass), Stefano Raimondi (vocal) and Matt 'B-1' Brugnetti (guitar). The band members are very unsteady in the first three years of activity; despite this, the first lyrics see the light and the band start to share the first concerts. On 4th february 2006 the band released the first demo, called '4 songs from death valley' where intentional heavy metal influences can be noticed, but not clear because the line-up failed to give a precise genre tag. In the summer of 2007 remained just Ste, Teo and Bnj who engaged the new drummer, Mattia Ugg?. After prepared the new songs, the band restarted live shows that occupied them for all the following year,
collecting the first successes. On 14 february 2009 Guelder Rose line-up has successfully stabilized, with the new entry of the second guitarist, Roland 'Seph' Erulo. He marked the band influences,and we can be notice it listening to the demo released on 2th april 2009, called 'the 2nd' The second demo was very different than the first; the sound was more defined, reminding a lot to New Wave Of The British Heavy Metal. Throughout 2009, Guelder Rose played in many concerts and join many festival and contests and won some. In October 2009 the band decided to reassess its repertoire, writing new lyrics, rearranging old songs and stopping live shows. On 25 January 2010 the new Guelder Rose recorded new songs in the studio and prepared their first album, 'Blood River'. During the mixing, Matteo Brambilla left the band for personal reasons; on 4th May he was replaced by Stefano Oggero.
