EP No Treasure, No Gold begins with the outlaw-scented Righteous Man and traveling out of the US southern marshes. Mathias Smedberg (guitar) hoses excellent slide guitar and Alexander Asp sings his neck out in a soundscape that is both dreamy, mysterious and ruthless.
The song's various parties and dynamics, building up between the components and the band samspelthet make this song an instant treat. Palle Karlsson on bass and drummer Jimmy Johansson sounds like they have been playing together since Mick Taylor joined the Rolling Stones. It is inevitable to mention Rival Sons when describing the band's sound, then they just take influences from everything between heaven and earth. Blues, country, 70s, 60s, hard rock, boogie ... Anything that can get a train to roll out in the desert.
