On the albums, you can hear instruments that are generally rare for rock music, such as the cello or the oboe. And then... Steve Houston, following the path of Mud Flanagan, the plot hero of the Prince of Heaven's Eyes disc, turned to religion. He could not find a full-fledged replacement, and the ensemble, having released the Modern Masquerades CD with John Mason on keyboards in 1975, ceased to exist.
