We know the name FRED MANDEL should ring a bell on many of you: Mandel is keyboard player, guitarist, and touring/session musician who has worked with the greats. Remember the time when you read the credits of an album while listening your new LP? Fred Mandel pop-up on many.
Fred has recorded and performed keyboards, guitars, and other duties with an incredible collection of artists, including Queen (as well as Freddie Mercury and Brian May solo projects), Alice Cooper, Elton John, Supertramp, Anthrax (yes, the thrash metal band) just to name a few.
Not to mention Mandel played keyboards on the Pink Floyd iconic album ‘The Wall’ and this was followed up by some recordings with Cheap Trick.
Well, it was time for this Canadian-born musician to record a solo album, his first, titled “Part-Time Rebel“. And what you’ll expect musically? Of course, Classic Rock with a 70s / 80s sound and feeling, plus some hard rocking bluesy stuff. Talented guitarist PHILIP SAYCE appear as guest.
A timeless rock album Highly Recommended by this website.
