Swedish prog rock legends THE FLOWER KINGS are back with the latest effort in their 25 year history: "By Royal Decree". The group's third studio album since adding drummer Mirko DeMaio and keyboardist Zach Kamins to the lineup is a classic affair in many ways. They are preparing for us a two-disc full-length disc called By Royal Decree. With the band practically not touring for the past two years, they've been able to focus on recording new material and also reworking things that had been on the floor from the previous sessions. Flower Kings vocalist and guitarist Roine Stolt says of working on the new record: "It's been great lifting this old treasure island of 'forgotten TFK music before TFK even existed'. This album is a journey through my story as a writer and my middle-age saga that reflects on it." Another significant change is that founding member Michael Stolt returns after more than two decades to contribute bass and vocals, sharing duties with current bassist Jonas Reingold.
