Flashpoint was formed in 2008 when the band Blackout folded due to members relocating. Bill Pawson and Bill Minniefield reformed as Flashpoint, released the EP, "Scars and Souvenirs", but went on hiatus when Bill P moved to Virginia. in 2015, the pair started to write new material and record remotely in hopes of releasing a new ep in the summer of 2015.
