Put together in Wakefield, UK, during 1986, and inspired by the success of bands like FM, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Night Ranger, since the beginning FKM wanted to create their own melodic rock mayhem with a British flavor.
Through a series of demos, they gave it their all, with their keyboard driven / twin guitar attack sound and they attracted the attention of EMI; unfortunately internal issues drove to nothing. They garnered critical acclaims in the pages of magazines like “Kerrang!”, “Metal Forces” and “Iron Fist”, where their brand of Melodic Rock with an AOR feel was likened to Night Ranger and FM.
The much appreciated “LOST UK JEWELS” Series now compiles all FKM recordings on their Volume 28, titled as one of the songs; “Broken Dreams”, including all their tapes, very well recorded & produced back in the day.
The likes of “Burning Love’ is maybe the jewel in their crown with its lush keyboard intro, but tracks like the guitar driven ‘Lonely Girl’ and the ballad-esque “Broken Dreams’ run it a close second.
If you’ve a penchant for the likes of Tobruk, FM or Night Ranger then you can’t miss ”The Lost UK Jewels Vol. 28; FKM – Broken Dreams”.
