Fat Nelly is Swedish a hard rock group which has released this year its first album « Wake Up ». The songs are melodic, heavy and rocking at the same time. The riffs are heavy and strong. The influences of the group are coming from the 80s with groups such as Van Halen, Dokken, Dio, Judas Priest, etc.
you’ll find excellent soli in the compositions and the vocalist is well at place, with a nice, powerful and right voice. Besides he is very often supported in the refrains by choirs which are typical from the 80s. If Fat Nelly is a hard rock group you can see pointing here and there some AOR parts. There’s nothing new in this album but it is well done. It is a group to follow.
