Collector's edition of the famous television show Elvis Presley on 3 DVDs. The teleconcert was filmed for NBC. It was this TV show, recorded in June 1968, that drew Presley to the origins of his music, forced him to modernize his repertoire and tune in to the search for a new style.

In addition, the success of the teleconcert, which aired on December 3, 1968, returned the interest of the general public to Elvis Presley, who by that time had almost erased the "king of rock and roll" from their attention. Preparations for the TV show began in Burbank in June 1968 with jam sessions with old friends including Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana. It was these rehearsals that awakened in Elvis the excitement of "live" performance in front of the public and returned him to the roots of his music: rock and roll, blues and gospels. The shooting itself took place on June 27-30. First, a jam session was filmed in the presence of the audience, then a Presley concert, accompanied by a full ensemble, choir and orchestra; the next day the program was repeated. These were the singer's first public appearances since 1961. Stage productions and screensavers (gospel fragment, scene in a brothel, etc.) were also filmed. For several days of work, a lot of material was recorded and filmed, from which a 50-minute television concert was mounted. Dressed in black leather, perfect for his "King of Rock 'n' Roll" image, Presley performed his old hits "Heartbreak Hotel", "Blue Suede Shoes", "All Shook Up", "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" and new songs "Guitar Man", "Big Boss Man", "Memories" and many others. The apotheosis of the show was the last song, "If I Can Dream", imbued with the pathos of a social appeal, uncharacteristic, in general, for Presley. The show enjoyed the highest viewer ratings. This DVD set was released in 2004 and for the first time presents a complete edition of all footage filmed during the recording of the show. This is a gift to all fans of an outstanding singer and artist!
We thank Tabogen for the material.
