Edguy - Space Police 2014: Is Space Police Going to Be the Latest Metal Phenomenon?
Three years after the release of their last album 'Age of the Joker', the German power metal band Edguy is all set to enthral the metal lovers with their latest album Space Police: Defenders of the Crown, due to be released on April 18th 2014. The band seems to be all upbeat and confident about the upcoming Edguy Space Police album and asserts in no uncertain terms that this has been their best work up till now. In a statement published on their website, the band says that Edguy Space Police is going to be the album that the band "will be measured against in the future." So, this does look like that come April, the hard metal enthusiasts are in for a real treat with this new album Edguy 2014.
Just like Age of the Joker, this new album Edguy 2014 will also be released via Nuclear Blast Records and was recorded at the famous Hanover recording studio Peppermint Park. The Joker in 2011 was an impressive performance enough by the band that has been around since 1992. The album recorded a No. 21 debut on the Top New Artists Albums and managed to sell 1,200 units in the first week of its US release.
The band arranged the first preview session of the new album last weekend and the journalists present are known to have reacted with gusto and enthusiasm. So, it does not seem unlikely at all that Space Police will take the metal scene by storm this April. We have our fingers crossed!
