ILIUM was inspired by Homer’s Iliad and Quintus Smyrnaeus’ Fall of Troy; it was recorded in multiple studios around the world during 2022.
The album retells the ancient epics from the eyes of Princess Cassandra and the Achaean and Trojan heroes as they stand their ground throughout the 10 year conflict.
Forged as a Metal Opera featuring very special guests from both sides of the columns of Herakles, ILIUM combines melodic storytelling with the aggression of Metal to deliver a dramatic and nostalgic experience about valour, glory and the cost of war.
I hope that the Echoes of the ancient Bronze age epics resound within the listener as they did with me.
