For the attention of good souls - a fresh, fresh from the oven, - ugh, from under the press (released on May 3 of this year) Dream Theater live album.
So I understand that here we have a long-recorded and finally officially released concert in Rome on October 31, 2005, which was released by a fan club a long time ago. I haven't seen that release, but I think this is it. So - now we are officially happy about this concert
Unfortunately, the DVD is a budget one, that is, there is no insert, and there is minimal information about the case on the cover - for some reason Portnoy’s departure is discussed. It is unclear what this has to do with this concert.
And so - the picture is watchable, especially if you do not pay attention to the added powerful special effects such as a smooth transition to black and white and back, the sound is listenable. Although for modern standards it would be just AC3... And it’s not clear why you should constantly keep the publishing company’s label in the corner. I’m generally silent about the title - “Panem et Circenses” (“Bread and Circuses”) was used in the titles of discs by many musicians. Anyway. But the music is very good - the 2005 disc "Octavarium" (one of my favorites) was played in its entirety.
