DOWNDAY born fifteen years in the River Valley of Arkansas from the illusion of three friends who had played in different bands for many years, and decided to finally get together with their own songs and their own stories, to make their own music. DOWNDAY released their first single ‘Back in the Day’ in 2009 which resulted a success on local radio, and soon after they put out debut album ”Chapter 1”, regionally distributed only.

While DOWNDAY released another album later due to different circumstances the group disbanded, but maintained a strong fan base with ”Chapter 1” becoming a sought after album, also overseas.

Now Lions Pride Music are making ”Chapter 1” obtainable again – which has previously never been available for retail purchase – with an updated remastering plus the band’s first song ‘Back in the Day’ added as bonus.
Musically DownDay is pure American, mixing classic hard rock riffs, southern melodies, a touch of Americana / Country (in a Ron Keel / Bret Michaels style) and tight harmony.
Very well recorded and with rock n’ roll authenticity, DownDay rocks.
