The Swedish Hard Rock band DOMINO DRIVE will release a new album entitled 'Smoke and Mirrors' on September 22, 2023 via PRIDE & JOY Music.Vocalist, keyboardist Sebastian Okupski (ex-Loch Vostok, ex-Mayadome) and drummer Alvaro Svanerö (Imperial Domain) started working on early material back in 2014, Philip Borg (Imperial Domain) later joined the band on guitar.
Bassist and lyricist Jonas Söder (Sarcasm) also joined in 2017. Due to the other musical commitments of the members, it would take another two years before they found the time to fully commit to the band.
Sebastian was the lead singer temporarily, but in the summer of 2022, the band finally found a permanent singer/guitarist in the form of outstanding multi-instrumentalist Jonas Tyskhagen (Winding Road), who also replaced Philip Borg.The album was produced and mixed at Domino Studios, Uppsala, and mastered by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios, Stockholm.The album features guest appearances by JJ Marsh (Glenn Hughes/Hughes Turner Project), Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed) and Tina Gunnarson (Hexed).
