I loved this bands early work in the late 70's and early 80's. Demon started off as melodic/rock metal with a satanic influence to their lyrics but not goth type chords with the "Night of the Demon" and the "Unexpected Guest". Concept albums then followed with "The Plague" and "British Standard Assured". There was once again a change of direction with "Heart of Our Time", more mainstream rock/pop aka Bon Jovi, Izzy Stradlin. "Hold on to the Dream" and "Blow Out" were in a similar vain. "Taking the world by Storm" was critically appraised and did win awrds if not reflected by commercial success.
