Defyance was formed in Knoxville, Iowa in 1989. The same year they released their first 4 track EP followed by the 1992 EP Voices Within. In 2014 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the formation of the band they reissued Voices Within including 3 tracks from the 1989 release as bonus tracks.
