The concert in Pompeii took place during a tour in support of the latest to date album of Gilmore Rattle That Lock, well received by critics and listeners. He was performed by David and his team for two nights in a row on the arena of the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, and this event took place 45 years after the recording of the concert of the same name by Pink Floyd. In total there were 2600 spectators, which added to the incident even more atmospheric. In addition to solo songs, viewers heard Pink Floyd's classic songs: Comfortably Numb, Time, One Of These Days, Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
