front2Warren Cromartie was a baseball player for Montreal Expos in the late 70´s/early 80´s, but he also made a record with his band Climb in 1988 that was only released in Japan.
I had never heard about this record until now when I found it on an AOR website, it was the line up of guests and the cover of I-Ten´s "Lonely in eachother´s arms" that got me interested in hearing it.
One of the guests is keyboardist David Rosenthal, Warren was a fan of Rainbow back then and invited David Rosenthal to play on "Take a chance".
Another guest is Geddy Lee of Rush, they became friends in the early 80´s and Geddy said yes on singing a line on the song "Who´s missing who" which is a nice westcoast/AOR song.

Another highlight is the cover of "Lonely in eachother´s arms" that I named earlier in this review but the best song is the upbeat "Try on" that shows why the 80´s is so hard to re-create soundwise.
The cover of Russ Ballard´s "Caught in the crossfire" is also really nice but there are a few album fillers too so I cannot go higher than 3 stars.
