Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Chris Antblad's notable collaborations include Joe Lynn Turner and the pop project Spin Gallery. But on A NEW DAWN, Antblad goes solo again - incorporating elements of jazz into his mellow AOR. With a soft, sweet voice ideal for this kind of music, which contains elements of Bryan Adams, Paul Carrack, Mr. Mister and latter-day Chicago, Antblad effortlessly sings his way through twelve compositions. Some of them, like the opener ,,Love Was" and the closer ,,Love Came Along" are tasty pieces of ear candy with an good aftertaste. In between are perfectly accessible songs with killer harmonies and hooks.
Chris Antblad is no newcomer to the melodic rock scene, he has written songs and worked with a bunch of famous faces in the industry. Some worth mentioning are Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Joe Lynn Turner, Randy Goodrum, Paul Carrack, John Capek (Marc Jordan), Jay Graydon (Airplay / Planet 3).
He was also the voice and the man behind the cult AOR band Spin Gallery, which released a great album "Standing Tall" in 1994. Now it's time for Chris to release his album "A New Dawn" - which is a superb showcase of stylish American radio rock of the world.
Chris beautiful voice, combined with a bunch of incredibly "catchy" songs makes the plate a must for all lovers of bands and artists like Toto, Survivor, Bryan Adams and Rick Springfield.
