Recorded in 1980, it was supposed to be the proper debut album for (then) new label Arista. Charlie had ceased terms with USA label Janus, who had gone bankrupt, and original UK label Polydor was 'hanging in the wings' waiting for something to happen. The members of Charlie knew of Janus' impending doom before it eventuated, and went to 'talk turkey' with Atlantic and RSO, but the Janus back catalogue and contracts were eventually picked up by Arista instead, resulting in 1979's 'Fight Dirty' to eventually be released.
