Anyone who remembers the hit single from 1979 called 'Pilot Of The Airwaves' will know that is was penned by female English folk rock singer Charlie Dore. It's her one song to fame, and though she's released many albums in her career and continues to do so right up until present tense, her 1981 LP 'Listen!'is probably the one that stands out, and could probably be considered 'against type' across her discography. Playing mostly in a folk rock surrounding during the earlier part of her career, Charlie was picked up as a songwriter mostly, working in Nashville during the late 70's after starting out in her native London a few years before.
