The Animals is a British group that began on the blues and rhythm and blues scene of Newcastle and London and subsequently became the third (after The Beatles and The Rolling Stones) element in importance of the British Invasion. Gained worldwide fame thanks to the version of the folk song "House of the Rising Sun."
