"This modern world is the portrait of decay, that's why we are Addicted To Decadence." These are the opening words of Naughty Whisper's new studio effort, Addicted To Decadence.
Naughty Whisper's latest release is a mixture of metal, gothic and rock elements, not to mention that scandinavian air the band has been breathing for years.

The album was produced in Göteborg at the Arnold Lindberg's studio (In Flames,Hardcore Superstar, Evergrey).

This quintet from Lillestrøm makes a clear and good debut album, "Muriel's Dance" on Ovis Records. It is quite clear where the band puts the list, and should probably be something for everyone who likes a little sludge, metal and rock. The music itself is probably not as exciting for the seasoned, perhaps, but there are some things that pull up on the execution. Among others it has scope to Daniel (vocals), which makes up well for the album. The jump from a little more Phil Anselmo on the rock-sections, and second, maybe Dan Svanøe the softer, shows that it does well to have some experience in the field vocalist. I assume that this is something the singer (s) will continue to stay focused on, since it did well at several places during this album.

One can say that there are no surprises left for us in music. We seem to have heard everything and everyone in all possible combinations and styles. Modern music lovers are very well-versed and it’s not an easy thing to surprise them. We live in the age where no pure genres are allowed though the mastery of performance is valued more than ever, people tend to mix and blend everything, change styles, try to collect the most distinctive features of each and make something original and truly eclectic. We know many bands combining heavy-metal with electronic and synthetic sounding, experimenting with folk instruments and very often a band sticks to the one chosen. So TRI STATE CORNER displays the similar situation: a bouzouki, which sounds much like an acoustic guitar in the Spanish style defines the approach of the band and becomes “the feature”. But it does sound original and sophisticated and I wonder why no one played like that before.

I'm giving this a 4. to me, the only reason I can't score a 5 for this band's songs at the moment is that the screamo vocals are not up to the league of the clean. This band will no doubt score some airplay but it's mainly the clean vocals setting it aside from other bands. This guy's voice is really strong, and does really interesting harmonies. The music is very good. Great job, don't take what I said about the screamo too harshly.

Vs. the Sea of Disease is a record that works on multiple levels, though some tend to be better than others. The album is really at its best when Feel Never Real do their best Rev Theory impersonation and infuse their southern tinged rock with some extra balls and gritty heft (“Drunkstar Anthem,” “Less Hopeless”), but still, it’s not too shabby when the band fires off one radio ready tune after another (“Sea of Disease,” “Always Over”). If Vs. the Sea of Disease was more of the former and less the latter, it would be better for it. Though Feel Never Real sound better during those moments they decide to keep the gas pedal pressed firmly to the floor, charging ahead guns ablaze, nothing should be taken away from their tempered moments, moments in which could find the band some airplay sooner than later. One recurring theme of Vs. the Sea of Disease is the talents of singer Tim Jones, a rock frontman whose voice happens to fall somewhere in-between Shinedown’s Brent Smith and Alterbridge’s Myles Kennedy.

If you have not come across UK rock band Skarlett Riot yet that will soon change with the release of their new EP Villain on March 19th. Bristling with formidable sounds, confrontational attitude, and a bearing of its fangs, the release is mighty; a deeply gratifying feast of heavy and explosive riffs fuelled by instinctive melodies and barely controlled energy.Villain stomps all over the senses and then goes back to give them another kicking after reviving them with its invigorating charm and infectious sounds.

Formed in 2010 Skarlett Riot has already garnered fine praise and acclaim for their live shows and debut EP. Their sharing of stages with the likes of Taking Dawn, Crashdiet, Glamour of the Kill, Black Spiders, Forever Never, Deaf Havana, and Francesqa and recent successful appearance at the Tramlines Festival set them as a band to watch somethingVillain strongly confirms. With a sound that takes the essences of the likes of Paramore and Halestorm and twists them into a stylish rod of melodic prowess to fuse with the bands aggressive and intense rock n roll, the band are about to make a powerful statement with the EP, an affirmation and declaration of intent and power from one of the best emerging UK bands.

Modern day AC/DC combined with ZZ Top making a foot stompin, fat sound, finger snapping, groove that brings the talent back to Rock N Roll. Great Drums, Guitar and Keyboards and spicy lyrics."In Shades Of Legend" A band that expresses supreme respect and gratitude for all the the great artists of the past and present. Our words alone could not do that. So we made this debut self tittled album with In Shades Of Legend as our first song to help us say THANK YOU to all. The rest is just Rock N Roll.

Fall From Grace have faced their fair share of adversity, but they conquered it by subscribing to the creed that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And “strong” is a good adjective to describe this album’s sound: part modern rock, part power-pop, part punk, and part hair metal, the conglomeration of elements all prettied up with a polished production that is slicker than K-Y Jelly on a stainless steel pole yet never crosses the line into sugarcoated crassness.

Hooks are the heart and soul of this album; The Romance Years has more hooks than a fishing derby. While Fall From Grace have their own identity, their brand of infectious rock bears more than a passing resemblance to acts like Marvelous 3 and 40 Ft. Ringo. The band is very fond of thick backing harmonies; there haven’t been this many gang vocal “Whoas!” on an album since the ‘80s pop-metal peak. Most of the choruses are designed to be anthems, soaring addictively over the top, the kind of songs you can sing along to before your first listen even ends.
