Melbourne based progressive power metal outfit EYEFEAR will be launching their forthcoming new album, ‘The Inception of Darkness’ at The Prague in Melbourne on Saturday, 27th October.Support from Melbourne female fronted power metal outfit DIVINE ASCENSION and Sydney thrash metallers, DARKER HALF. Door open at 8pm and tickets are only $15.Eyefear will also be performing in Sydney on Saturday, 3rd November at the Steel Assassins festival withVoyager (WA), Megahera (Italy), Soulforge (NSW), Overdrive (VIC), Metal (NSW) and many more!
Ill Niño‘s new album, ‘Epidemia,’ hits stores on Oct. 22, but fans won’t have to wait until then to hear the disc. The band is teaming up with Loudwire to provide listeners with an exclusive stream of the album.The New Jersey-based rockers took a musical journey with their sixth release, recording in Hoboken, Austin and Denver before wrapping up the disc. Singer Cristian Machado tells Loudwire, “The recording of ‘Epidemia’ was definitely an amazing experience. We’ve set the bar higher than ever before. I truly believe this record is one of Ill Niño’s best efforts. I really can’t wait for our fans to hear the new record. I know it will connect with many of them on a new level. I can definitely say it’s going to be a crusher but will not lack any of the beauty and passion that appears on our early records.”

? would like to begin by mentioning what impressed me the most since minute one. The voice! It’s solid and “thick”, it’s powerful and passionate. Falsettos are a parameter for sure as well as a fabulous vibrato, almost operatic! On the other hand, it possesses so much roughness, it can Rock as hell! The Greek band is here to suggest some of their own things around Metal, served with lyrical extensions; I’d say it’s a pure Metal band, featuring Progressive elements. Motif is epical and majestic, choruses are totally melodic; you are about to listen to some Doom tunes, that’s also inside the package. For instance, “Cage of sins” is one of those songs…

Stone Sour will release the first installment of the double album "House of Gold & Bones Part 1" on October 23rd, 2012, with the second installment to follow in 2013. The album was recorded at Sound Farm Studios just outside of the band's native Des Moines, Iowa with producer David Bottrill.
