The set contains the original recordings of eight songs by both bands. The 17th track is a re-work of the Eagles‘ ‘Hotel California’ featuring the third act on the tour, Don Felder. That song was released earlier today (April 23).

White Sister was one of a multitude of 80's MOR/AOR rock bands that slipped under the radar, one can only surmise in this case due to serious image/marketing problems. Bad enough to be called 'White Sister' (Really? You couldn't think of anything better?) but just look at the album cover. Hands up everyone who thought this was a disco album by a Pointer Sisters/Sister Sledge rip-off group? Come on, be honest!

Not all the songs on this two-album set are great, but they're solid reminders of a group of blue-collar, hard working, dedicated musicians. They would've played for free if just given the chance to be heard. The Gettin Lucky album is worth 3 stars, but the Head East album is a solid 4 stars. More»



Rick Manwiller's CD Chocolate Detox is a great mix; like a really good movie with lots of twists and turns never sacrificing quality. It even has two surprise endings. Manwiller is a find!
