Wait, I recognize that familiar voice: melodic, gritty and raspy, with strength and range. Salute is the new project from Last Autumn's Dream vocalist Mikael Erlandsson Sweden's best answer Bryan Adams. On board with him is fine guitarist and producer Martin Kronlund (DogFace, Gypsy Rose, White Wolf). If you dig anything and everything from LAD, you will love Salute's debut Toy Soldier.

Great fun record. If you like Wig Wam, Evenrude or Sha-Boom you will surely love this. Happy melodies( a little bit discotheque in places but that isn't bad), chorus after chorus, tons of hooks...well this is what party CD should be. My fave's are cheesy I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend and Heartbeat.

1987 Michael White
This file is the 2007's digital only re-issue called 'LP version' (?), featuring on the cover Michael White's moniker alone. There's a flaw on the track "Psychometry" around 3:18 min. (it happens on all the copies distributed of this reissue), but does not affect the listening experience.A praiseworthy album, pretty unknown and hard to find.

Heart, an American-Canadian rock band formed in 1974 in Seattle (but a year later moved to Vancouver, where she recorded her first album) and is still active. The composition of the group during its existence has undergone many changes, but the constant members of the team are the sisters Anne and Nancy Wilson. The band gained wide popularity in the 1970s, playing music formed by a mixture of hard rock in the style of bands like Led Zeppelin and American folk.

Like many Canadian bands, these guys would be reasonably well known at home, but everywhere else they'd be virtually unknown. A great radio oriented rock trio these guys are, following on in the clean cut footsteps of fellow Canucks Glass Tiger and Bryan Adams. Their music is punchy and is predominantly bright all the way through. It's aimed squarely at the pop/middle of the road audience, no surprises, and a pleasant workout all round. More»

GNP is the acronym for the Gilmour Negus Project, two of the members of Canadian pomp gods Saga. At this stage of their career, the two had left Saga to branch out on their own, and co-opted singer Robert Bevan to join them. Musically GNP are a cross between Saga and that other Canadian AOR act Agent, with Bevan's vocals at times zeroing in on Alfie Zappacosta with alarming similarity. More»
