We are presenting JERRY STRANGELAND, a band absolutely inspired by ’80s AOR. A solo project by singer, songwriter and musician Zherikhov Alexey (pictured above) from Russia. All started from Alexey’s love for the sound of classic American AOR acts, and after composing his own songs with English lyrics, he assembled a full band in 2019 and recorded the initial demos.

In 1987 Patty Smyth released her first solo album. The album was never supposed to be a solo record; it was meant to be a record by Scandal Featuring Patty Smyth, but the band had dissolved after the tour of the Warrior album. Though she would later have success as a songwriter, Smyth cowrote only the album's first and last tracks. The first, the title track, a slightly rewrite of the song with the same title from The Hooters self-titled debut, and the closing track of the album. More»
