JONES was part of different projects, one of these named NEEDLE PARK, the short-lived band of ex POISON guitarist C.C. DeVille. A few decades before he would grace the stage nightly with mega-star Shania Twain, Australian musician Randall Waller lead his band AVION with amazing guitars and vocals. AVION would release its first album “Avion” on RCA in 1983 [mixed by reputed Bob Clearmountain] and despite great songs, top notch production, radio friendly image & music, and major label back-up, the album just didn’t go anywhere.

One of the first Jon Bon Jovi bands was called ‘The Rest’, but despite promotion by other successful New Jersey musicians such as Southside Johnny, members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, and a demo produced by Billy Squier, did not obtain a recording contract and split up. The guitarist and one of the songwriters of ‘The Rest’ was Giacomo Pontoriero, aka JACK PONTI.
