Inanimus Theory – Unarmed Power (2012)

Inanimus Theory is a four-piece metal band from Suffolk that settled into its current guise in the autumn of 2010. 'Unarmed Power' is their recently released debut and the product of a band who "love to try and be creative and are not afraid to bring something new to the table".
The band is made up of Syz on vocals and rhythm guitar, Bidley on lead guitar, bassist Matt and drummer Gibby. With a look to match the aggressive riffs of their music, Syz told us that it is the live performances that the band really live for. "We write our songs with the live show in mind, not the studio. In other words, what you hear on the CD is what you're going to get live. We don't add effects to the album that we can't replicate on stage."

All Too Human – Juggernaut 2012
May 17, 2012 15:13
All Exclusive Heavy Metal |Power Metal Progressive Rock
Now...
Here's another first for April, Juggernaut is my first experience with Texas metal band All Too Human. It appears that this album has been sometime in the making. We last heard from the band in 2002. The core members remain: Clint Wilson (g), Maurice Taylor (b), and Chris Lucci (d). They've borrowed Gordon Tittsworth from Images of Eden on vocals. (Lucci also plays drums for Images of Eden.)
With one spin I'll admit I was skeptical. Juggernaut is a rather diverse and dark album. To the former, you'll hear a variety of influences informing the prog, including traditional heavy metal, power metal, and modern hard rock. As to the latter, the heaviness unleashed here gives the album a weighty brooding quality. The best pieces are the bookends of the title track and the revamped instrumental Arrythmia, from 2002's Entropy.
