The album in question is a full leght more than an hour, during which it is poured upon the listener a good dose of rock and technical metal, emotion and melody. Although everything is completely self-produced and the brainchild of Enrico Sidoti, drummer and author of the ten tracks that make up the work, right from the start it is clear that the quality of the work is very high. Sounds crisp and crystalline piano first and then guitar, vocals accompany the first dell'italianissimo Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth), than the usual class leads us to New Fading Sun, the first trip and the first masterpiece of the disc. There's a lot to like about the Colorado metal band with the strange name, Bodragaz. Their seventh studio album, Symphony, lives up to its name, for one. Here's a solid collection symphonic and melodic power metal tunes.Other strengths define the band as well. the first ever acoustic album from two members originally rooted in the Power Metal scene: Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (Sonata Arctica). The titled says it all: Blackoustic contains dark but by all means atmospheric acoustic renditions. Most of the songs were chosen from the duo`s live set-list, including familiar Stratovarius covers like `Black Diamond' and `Hunting High and Low', but also songs like `Serenity' and `Sleep Well' from Kotipelto`s solo albums have been given the new acoustic treatment; proving that behind great heavy metal song, there's very often a stunning melody screaming to come out. Furthermore, the album includes beautiful cover versions of Pete Townshend's `Behind Blue Eyes' and Deep Purple's classic `Perfect Strangers'. As a special bonus Blackoustic also features a brand new composition: `Where My Rainbow Ends' written by Jani Liimatainen. Earmusic.
