“The Other Side” was recorded and produced by Grammy nominated Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Airbourne) at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, IL along with a full album’s worth of material. While the band puts some finishing touches on the full-length and prepares it for release sometime in 2012, fans should stay tuned for news on where they can get a copy of the new “The Other Side” EP in the very near future.
THE LAST VEGAS’ previous full-length, “Whatever Gets You Off” was one of iTunes Top 15 Rock Albums of the Year (2009) alongside Pearl Jam, The Dead Weather, Them Crooked Vultures and The Black Crowes. The debut single, “I’m Bad”, hit over 300 thousand downloads on iTunes in the first week and was named iTunes Rock Single of the Year.

One of the most important Danish bands, rockers D-A-D, are back in the business with the brand new album "Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark"
This 'hyponymous' title refers to the group's original name, Disneyland After Dark. When the group made their international breakthrough in 1989, they had to change the band name to D.A.D. to avoid an impending lawsuit from the Walt Disney Company.
Founded by bros. Jesper and Jacob Binzer D-A-D began playing together in the early 1980s in Copenhagen, Denmark, releasing their first EP in 1985 and have now been together for more than 30 years with only one change in the lineup, as Laust Sonne replaced former drummer Peter Lundholm Jensen in 1999.
Recorded in different sessions while touring, between the Studio23 in Frankfurt and several Copenhagen recording facilities, "Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark" was produced by Nick Foss, responsible of band's most successful album to date 'No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims' (1989).
You have a bunch of pretty straight forward hard rockers such as "A New Age Moving In", the nineties influenced "The Last Time In Neverland" and "The Place Of The Heart".
Also present are the classic D-A-D-style songs with an American touches - which it is their trademark - on "Breaking Them Heart By Heart" and the melodic rocker "Fast On Wheels".
One of the best tracks on the album is "The Wild Thing In The Woods", a moody rock tune with heartrending vocals and great guitar work in that typical D-A-D vibe.
"We All Fall Down" is a dense mid-tempo with clean guitars and a fine refrain, whilst "Cant' Explain What It Means" has a bluesy feel and some interesting chord progressions.
Their more commercial and catchy side is present as well on the instant "I Want What She's Got" and the dirty and fun "Drag Me To The Curb".
D-A-D offers a complete package, as the final song is a beautiful classic rock ballad; "Your Lips Are Sealed". A climatic tune including grand piano and one of the best Jacob's guitar solos on the album.
Seems D-A-D and producer Nick Foss really gel together, as "Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark" is the best D-A-D album in a long, long time.
This new recording shows the band returning to their characteristic hard driving, streamlined rock, with a revitalized sound and energetic songs.
D-A-D's particular way of hard rocking is blended here with some Classic Rock elements and their usual American-Cowboy touches, plus that typical Scandinavian melancholy present on many of the band's works.
Well written, played and produced, "Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark" is a fine return to the roots from this Danish combo.

Legendary U.S. metal band RIOT has revealed the cover artwork and track listing for its new album, "Immortal Soul", which will be released on October 21 in Japan via Marquee/Avalon; October 26 in Scandinavia; October 28 in Germany; Austria and Switzerland; October 31 in the rest of Europe; and November 22 in the U.S. and Canada throughSteamhammer/SPV. The effort will be available as a limited digipack with two bonus tracks, double gatefold LP (colored blue vinyl) and regular jewel case.

With lineup changes knocking their momentum and the Eighties developing into a thrash-fest, a new-look RIOT bounced back in 1988 with the widely-acclaimed "Thundersteel". Although the faces might have looked unfamiliar, with only guitarist Mark Reale now left from the band's formative years, the aggression and musicianship remained unrivalled and unchallengeable. With Tony Moore's distinctive vocals, the muscle and might of bassist Don Van Stavern and drummer Bobby Jarzombekpowering the songs along, and Reale's precision playing RIOT were reborn, and followed "Thundersteel" two years later with the jaw-dropping "The Privilege Of Power", an inspiring and at times truly epic album. However, by this time the music world was turning into a very different place, andRIOT found themselves struggling against a tide of apathy. Realecontinued to guide the ship through the next two decades, delivering albums of consistent, quality metal, culminating in 2006's "Army Of One"— a true statement of intent, as if one were needed.
But the army of one is an army of five once more as RIOT's classic"Thundersteel" and "Privilege…" lineup has reunited, adding guitaristMike Flyntz who played in the live band at that time.
RIOT has been confirmed as special guest on the first leg ofHAMMERFALL's European tour this winter. The trek kicks off on October 26 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and ends on November 18 in Cologne, Germany. This will be the first time the legendary "Thundersteel" and"The Privilege Of Power" lineup of Tony Moore (vocals), Mark Reale(guitar), Mike Flyntz (guitar), Don Van Stavern (bass) and Bobby Jarzombek (drums) has played in Europe on a full tour, after the band's celebrated one-off show at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2009.
