Guitar aficionado Rory Kelly releases his debut album, (Don't Shake My) Family Tree, on North Carolina based Rusty Knuckles Music on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012. The record is a reflection of his signature sound rooted in hard southern rock and inlaid with blues based boogie that fuels the guitarists' appetite for fast leads. Kelly joined forces with his father, Mike "Pops" Kelly, on the project. The transgressive style of bassist Billy Miller lends itself to a swaggering dynamic between the three. Legend LYNYRD SKYNYRD will release "Last Of A Dyin' Breed" the next August 21, the band's first studio album since 2009's God & Guns, which debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 20 - the band's highest chart debut since 1977.
The upcoming CD reunites the band with producer Bob Marlette, who produced God & Guns.
Led by core members Gary Rossington (guitar), Johnny Van Zant (vocals) and Rickey Medlocke (guitar), in 2012 Lynyrd Skynyrd have been joined by bass player Johnny Colt, an original member of the Black Crowes who has also played with Train and Rockstar Supernova.

The Gin Act is the second shot for the Swedish sleaze band formed by singer John Elliot (their first being 2010's Lights Out) and hell... this EP slips down well.
First on the rocks is "Divine 69" with its twin axe attack, gang vocals and contagious chorus. "Delightful Lies" opens with an ironically mournful riff before theMaidenesque "Flickorna Pa TV2" (surprisingly written by a member of Roxette!) makes life a little heavier, nastier and definitely darker. What hits me throughout The Gin Act is melody -- and believe me it's served up in double measures. Elliot's diction is perfect, his sleazy delivery definitely West Coast, whilst guitarists Daniel and Blomman trade spacey power chords and fills with restrained and beautifully constructed solos. The rhythm section is heavy but subtle, making these guys tight but loose -- and I'm converted.
