Call of the Wild is the debut release from Swedish melodic rockers Decoy, which features former Grand Illusion vocalist Peter Sundell and former Fatal Force guitarist Torben Endvoldsen. The band has a nice melodic hard rock sound, just shy of being classified as metal, that is on par with bands like Evidence One and Tears of Anger.

The Michael Schenker Group is a guitar-oriented hard rock band formed in 1979 by former Scorpions and UFO guitarist, Michael Schenker. In 1986, Schenker and vocalist Robin McAuley formed the McAuley Schenker Group, which lasted until 1993. After that, in 1996 the Michael Schenker Group was reformed.

Demo recordings made for Assault Attack. MSG had no singer at the time as Schenker wanted Graham Bonnet to be their new singer. This also caused a break with Peter Mensch their manager at the time. When Graham Bonnet finally joined MSG in February 1982, Cozy Powell had left the band and was replaced by Ted McKenna.
