Maggy Simpson consists of Shane Counter and Bat Kinane (of Glyder fame), who have previously worked together on Bat Kinane’s solo album. That album was a singer/songwriter one with a folk feel, whereas Maggy Simpson is more of a metal beast. In fact the music on here is possibly the heaviest Bat Kinane has recorded, most notably the opener ‘High Time To Die’ a real monster of a tune driven along nicely by the drums of Davy Ryan (ex-Glyder).

Limited Press to 600 cds. There will be no re-press, once they are gone, they are gone. December Rose history starts in West Country, UK in 1982. The band was active till 1990 rehearsing and touring all these years. The cd features all the material that survived since 1989. The bend was recommended to the label by no other than the M.McMillan itself. An amazing band with great music.
