The remnants of what used to be one of the largest forests in Europe still conceal its share of mysticism and magic. Some people you can never satisfy. Somewhere along the road, people have seemed to forget that folk metal has its deepest roots in Germany. Well before the Vikings More»

Quebec, Canada-based metallers AETERNAM recently entered Badass Studios with engineer Jean-François "Jef" Fortin to begin recording their new album, "Moongod", for a late 2012 release via Galy Records.
Commented the band, "The album will contain nine songs plus a short and wicked intro. As far as it goes, there's still a lot of blast beats and brutal stuff, but the music is way more epic and melodic, really more groovy and let's say... dangerous? Lyrics deal a lot with religions (again), but the focus is more on pre-Islamic rites and actual stuff that is going on right now in the Middle East. Nevertheless, there's still some new ideas and concepts; we do even have a song that talks about Mayan culture! Crazy stuff!"

Anyone who thought this band would be struggling to write more songs about beards will be proven utterly wrong as the Aussie fourpiece unleash eleven new songs - each of which is primarily focussed on the importance of having a large amount of facial hair. "It will be our third concept album about the same concept - the only concept of any importance to any of us - beards!" Explains frontman Johann Beardraven. "It's going to be even more about beards than our last record", says bassist Nathaniel Beard. The Beards will tour nationally through March and April
