Second album for the veteran guitarist from Bulgaria Dragomir Draganov.
The only thing you really need is a / vocalist."Beyond the Time" is loaded with authentic heavy metal cane and very catchy, quite a sight.
Brand new album from Kory Clarke and Warrior Soul - SMF also features very special guest guitar players - John Ricco (former Warrior Soul guitarist) and Mark Gemini Thwaite (The Mission/Mob Research/Peter Murphy - Bahaus). Warrior Soul released a string of classic political rock n’ roll albums starting with Last Decade Dead Century (’90), Drugs, God and the New Republic (‘91), Salutations from the Ghetto Nation (’92) and Chill Pill (’93).
After forming the Space Age Playboys and releasing two solo albums Clarke has remained as venomous, aggressive and politically motivated as ever on Destroy The War Machine (’09) and now this new offering ‘Stiff Middle Finger’ KC – “We are really looking forward to seeing everyone on this tour. This is going to rock like crazy with new blood and fists pumping against corporate tyranny, bullshit wars, and lying dead religions. Our power will once again be felt and our rumble heard across the land!”

Following on the heels of the re-release of their long out of print 2002 self-titled debut, Mos Generator cranks out their first album of original material in five years. Over those years, vocalist and guitarist Tony Reed has been busy with the classic rock outfit Stone Axe.
The guys hit the road in support of the album and the rave reviews for the live show started arriving:
Classic Rock: “Vega won over the crowd with anthems punchier than a Croydon hen party after a crate of Bacardi Breezers”
Fireworks: “I was transfixed by the quality of what I was hearing and seeing….”
Powerplay: “10/10 the band of the weekend”

I am a huge fan of 60?s and 70?s progressive rock and I also have a special place in my heart for experimental folk. Something about these styles of music captures my imagination and interest. Perhaps it’s the sense of total and utter creative freedom that these artists seem to exude. Perhaps it’s the wealth of instruments and tones used. In the end, however, it doesn’t really matter as I can just sit back and truly enjoy this music.

Clearly, Orange County's Sixstep marches to their own beat, wherever that beat may come from. They call their sound "comprehensive rock," whatever the what for that means. House of Cards, their second album I think (much of their information is sketchy and obtuse), rolls together elements of classic rock with portions of ska, reggae, jazz, and blues in what can only be considered eclectic.
House of Cards is an odd intersection between melodic rock, progressive rock and art rock, with an equally odd concept. It's something do with a satirical look at different aspects of the modern life. This is then also played out among two contrasting radio DJs, one an obnoxious commercialist, the other a fateful idealist. Are you getting all this? Maybe you should take notes.

When I Sing is the triumphant solo release from German-born singer/songwriter Cathrine Jauer. Better known as the vocalist and bassist for the rock-pop band First Child, Jauer has come into her own as a solo artist and delivers a nicely done, upbeat album that runs the gamut from acoustic ballads to blues rock to even a little rockabilly madness.

There's a lot to like about the Colorado metal band with the strange name, Bodragaz. Their seventh studio album, Symphony, lives up to its name, for one. Here's a solid collection symphonic and melodic power metal tunes.Other strengths define the band as well. Not the least of which is strong song arrangements, spry musicianship, strong vocals, and solid production. Symphony is well-executed and simply sounds great. The orchestrated symphonic synth layers throughout give many songs an epic texture which reminds of Italian cinematic metal.

the first ever acoustic album from two members originally rooted in the Power Metal scene: Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (Sonata Arctica). The titled says it all: Blackoustic contains dark but by all means atmospheric acoustic renditions. Most of the songs were chosen from the duo`s live set-list, including familiar Stratovarius covers like `Black Diamond' and `Hunting High and Low', but also songs like `Serenity' and `Sleep Well' from Kotipelto`s solo albums have been given the new acoustic treatment; proving that behind great heavy metal song, there's very often a stunning melody screaming to come out. Furthermore, the album includes beautiful cover versions of Pete Townshend's `Behind Blue Eyes' and Deep Purple's classic `Perfect Strangers'. As a special bonus Blackoustic also features a brand new composition: `Where My Rainbow Ends' written by Jani Liimatainen. Earmusic.

? would like to begin by mentioning what impressed me the most since minute one. The voice! It’s solid and “thick”, it’s powerful and passionate. Falsettos are a parameter for sure as well as a fabulous vibrato, almost operatic! On the other hand, it possesses so much roughness, it can Rock as hell! The Greek band is here to suggest some of their own things around Metal, served with lyrical extensions; I’d say it’s a pure Metal band, featuring Progressive elements. Motif is epical and majestic, choruses are totally melodic; you are about to listen to some Doom tunes, that’s also inside the package. For instance, “Cage of sins” is one of those songs…
